Phase 2: Corrective Phase of Care
|
Most chiropractic physicians view the elimination of symptoms as the simplest part of a patient’s care. If treatment focuses solely on reducing pain without addressing the root cause, the likelihood of the condition recurring increases significantly. To prevent a rapid return of symptoms, it’s essential to continue care even after the pain has subsided.
During the correction/restorative phase of your care, adjustments will be needed less frequently than in the initial phase. Depending on your specific circumstances, the doctor may recommend exercises and stretches, either performed at our center or at home, to help accelerate your healing process. It’s important to note that mild flare-ups in symptoms can occur occasionally during this phase of care. This is a normal part of the healing process, as your body is still recovering. Flare-ups are expected because your body has not yet fully healed. The duration of this phase depends on the severity of your condition and how long you’ve been experiencing it. For some, it may last a few months, while for others, it could take up to a couple of years to achieve complete recovery. |
